About the Author

Scott Fack was born outside of Chicago in 1974, but currently lives with his partner of over 12 years, Noel, in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Scott holds a Bachelor's Degree in English from Massey University (Palmerston North), and he utilises his knowledge of the English language, with other skills learned throughout his years of working, at The National School of Aesthetics, where he currently serves as the Director of Operations. He also co-owns Aesthetics Importing, importers of beauty therapy equipment and products such as Janssen Cosmeceuticals.

Scott has also written professionally, with his short poem "Ben" published in the anthology Hot Ink and articles published in various outlets including BeautyNZ magazine. He's also been used as a source, and written several specialty stories, for several newspaper articles in the Christchurch Press.

Scott and Noel, as a gay defacto couple, also fought for the right to be treated the same as straight defacto couples under New Zealand Immigration laws. This fight was won in 1999, seeing a change in New Zealand Immigration law to allow equality for gay and lesbian couples. Scott appears as a source to many articles in the gay and mainstream media under this topic.

Scott's a huge fan of Star Trek, particularly Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. In addition to those shows, he also loves Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. Each of these series are used as inspiration in his Star Trek fan fiction.

In addition to working on his fan fiction, Scott's currently working on several short mainstream stories and a mainstream novel, entitled "Resurrection". Some of his not-quite-completed works, such as "Belong" and "Cantelope", can be found on the Massey University Writery Web site.

Scott is also the Webmaster for The National School of Aesthetics (including webmail.nasa.co.nz and students.nasa.co.nz), Aesthetics Importing (including Janssen Cosmeceutical New Zealand), Beauty Professionals New Zealand, and 10bay4.
